Pinteresting: Writing in Style pt. 1

Hi Lovelies,

I don't know about you but I love having a beautiful journal or sketchbook by my side. Unfortunately, my current one is on its last leg and running out of empty pages. So, I guess I have to get a new one and buy a few writing utensils along the way. Pinterest sure has me building a pretty long wish list so this is just Part 1.

She Knows TRUTH

Writing my life right. Writing my life to release. Writing my life to know me –the inner me. Writing my life to know others –to know God. I create my reality. I manifest through words and thought. I manifest. It is real. No faking can take place because inner me knows the TRUTH. I can’t hide from her. I can’t disguise myself from her. She knows me in and out. She knows when I’m scared. She knows when I’m excited. She knows when I’m overjoyed. She knows when I hold lack in mind. She knows when I hold abundance in mind. I have not released everything. I fear losing all of me if I let it all go. But what’s wrong with that? I don’t know but I will soon discover.

Great way to reuse

As mentioned in a previous post, I created my first art journal.  I don't have any entries in it yet, but I'm admiring it for now.  I took a package discard and decided to make use of it.

It began with me just doodling.
I didn't have a real purpose in mind.
But then a light bulb went off.

Shipping Labels!
I decided to put shipping labels on the inside of the now doodled, folded cardbooard contraption.

I have different headings, so my entries will probably fit accordingly.
Now I'm up for repurposing other items around the house.

Getting Back to Bliss

I've been in a funky mood since Sunday.  And I refuse to be in this mood tomorrow.   My energy is way off and I'm getting bad news left and right.  This must and shall cease!

So to get this frustration and angst out of the way, I decided to write and draw as meditative practices.  I'm working on an art journal finally.  Stay tuned for those pics.  I wrote a long entry in one of my other journals which basically allowed me to pour out my soul and all my woes.  This has actually helped relieve some of my burden.  After that, I moved on to create these lovely pieces:

This is a starry night to remind me to go out an wish upon the stars.
Dreams can come true. Maybe I'll do that tonight.

The green and the flowers tell me that I need to get grounded.
I have not been connecting with my higher self. Being planted will sustain me.

Ultimately, I know what's needed to be done.  I am the only one accountable for my bliss.  It shall be done.

Collaborative Art Journal

Several weeks ago, I was in one of my fave places, Barnes and Noble, and I went to my fave section. Of course, that being the Arts/Crafts/Hobbies section. I saw this book by LK Ludwig called Collaborative Art Journals and Shared Visions in Mixed Media. In it, were great displays of the collaborative art journal. Collaborative art journaling is a great way to blend art, writing, and shared experiences.

After reading through the pages, I decided it may me a great venture for me and my gf/bff Tam. A few days later, I approached Tam about the journaling and she agreed with the idea. Unfortunately, I hadn't given much thought about it since. Well, that was until today. The idea came back to me and Tam and I discussed the purpose for our collaborative art journal. The overarching theme will be about dreaming big and living outside the box. I thought as a perfect theme considering each of us are honing into our talents and gifts, moving toward a larger life than ever imagined, and living life with constraints.

I am really excited about this project. As pages are completed, I will be sure to share some pics. If you would like to do your own collaborative journal, I truly recommend you pick up Collaborative Art Journals and Shared Visions in Mixed Media.
