Setting Intentions Really Creates an Amazing Year

Hi Lovelies!

How has 2014 been treating you so far? I hope amazingly. While it's only January, I feel like I have accomplished more of my intentions than I had in years past. Seriously folks, I have exhibited, participated in a self-care ritual with other creative women, secured a commission, and opened myself up to other possibilities. I can't pinpoint exactly the date of the breakthrough, but I have a pretty good idea of where the shift happened.

I had to get things in order about what I wanted for my life and business. I wanted my life to be filled with freedom, joy, abundance, and clarity. Guess what? That is already happening. Want to know how? I started completion of Leonie Dawson's 2014 Create Your Amazing Year workbook & calendar- Biz Edition. Like Leonie says, "You have to align actions with your intentions." I thought I did that before until I realized I missing some key steps. First of all, I didn't have a bit of clarity or plan. I wanted to do this and that without clear direction. Let's just say I was half-ass on the job. As soon as I began filling out the workbook and doing the damn thing (pardon my sailor mouth) of envisioning my business for 2014 and having clear-cut goals and calendar to take actionable steps, it seems like I fell into the beautiful ease and flow of life. If you need some of that goodness, whether in life or business, I highly recommend you get on the good foot and grab your copy of the 2014 Create Your Amazing Year workbook & calendar. Until next time, have a beautifully designed day.

Best,

Darnita

Making a List

I am a person that constantly makes lists: grocery lists, to-do lists, clothing and electronics wishlists, and many more.  But only once in a while do I create a list of my goals and intended outcomes.  I may create such a list once or twice a year.  I think I need to make a habit of writing my Goal List more often.  Otherwise, I may lose track of what I desire and I could stop myself from being accountable.  I could easily come up with excuses as to why I didn't submit to a CFE, why I didn't sign up for a workshop, or why I didn't finish a project.  "Oh, I forgot I was supposed to do that." "I had so many other things to do that that one goal just never crossed my mind." And more Blah blah blah excuses and notions.

If I want to get out of my rut and cycle of bad situations, then I need to hold myself accountable.  I need to keep a clear view of my goals and the life I want.  This view needs to be with me at all times and not just once in a while when I open my journal.  So, for now, I'm off to writing my Goal List.
