Not in the Mood
I haven't blogged in several days. Just not in the mood. I have been drawing and painting though. Hey everyone out there in the creative world. Has the summer heat drained you of your creative or blogging power?

Mini Spree
I have a budget and I do my best to stick to it. So, today, I reasoned with myself and realized that I had enough for a little shopping. Next thing you know, I was in Michaels looking for one item, and got something different. My purchases consisted of acrylics, gesso, and a 10-pack of canvases. Luckily, Michaels has a great sale going on with coupons galore. I saved and was satisfied.

Goodies from Artsyville
Yesterday, I received my print from Aimee of Artsyville. I was so happy to see the pretty packaging. But guess what? She surprised me with an additional print. I'm so grateful to her and her talent. Shot out to Aimee!

Doing Side Work
I haven't worked on any art because I'm doing some graphic design projects. I am providing services for some great people and I am enjoying helping others. My main assignment is to create a package for Write Your Life Right. The goals and objectives are pertinent to anyone feeling blocked and in need of clarity. I am using the services, so I am committed to helping out in any way I can.
During my spare time, I'll attempt to get some drawings or other creations scanned and put on here.

I'm a Winner!
Today, Aimee at Artsyville announced the winners of her Weekword contest. And yours truly was one of the winners. You can't see the smile on my face but you could look at my profile pic for a pretty good idea. The prize was a 5x7 print. I am looking forward to receiving this package in the mail. YAY!

The Good Life
This month's theme for Creative Everyday is Life.
I think life should always be filled with color and vibrancy.
Being an artist affords me the privilege of having such fortune.
What brings color and life into your world?

Spreading Positive Messages
I have been brainstorming on ideas for my upcoming collection of tees for Cotton Smoothie. I'm really moving into the direction of spreading positive messages. There is a need to build up our good vibrations instead of focusing on all the turmoil. Thus, my doodle for today could possibly be one of my tee designs.

I'm Magnificent As Well
Here's one of my pieces I call Magnificent As Well. It's my little pick-me up.
As I continue to venture into the creative world, I still find myself being my worst critic. I need to stop this. I'm magnificent as well. Whatever I desire, I will achieve. I have the capabilities to accomplish much. Do you realize how maginificent you are?

Playing Around Today
My plan for today was to prep the rest of my journal pages. That didn't happen. I need more supplies. Hopefully, I can make more purchases this week.
Anywho, I played around with some effects on PhotoDraw. It is an old, now obsolete program that was created by Microsoft. Too bad they stopped developing the program. Maybe it couldn't compete with the "elite" programs out there.

I first created a fractal in Tierazon.
I call it Hypnotic.
Then I opened it in PhotoDraw and used the Mosaic distortion.
I also colored it.
Then, I used one of the many designer effects to get this.
Pretty cool!

OMG!
I didn't blog for July 6th. Oh no! Well, I'm not going to punish myself. I was immersed in a creative project and then I had to work. I'm creating another art journal. Yesterday, I prepped some of my pages. I used one of my old planners. Sad thing is that I didn't write in it much. The only part of the planner/now-turned journal that I'm not going to change is the cover. It has a ladybug on it, and I love ladybugs. Other than that, this is going to be quite the process for transfroming something old into something new.

Enjoying today
As promised, I'm posting today. YAY! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. Mine has been pretty good. I did some doodling but I'm away from my scanner at the moment. So I promise to put the dear doodles up tomorrow. And of course, I had some good eats. Ok, that's all I have to share for now.

Staying Committed in July
It's already the third day in July. Time is moving by so fast. Anywho, I'm a part of the Creative Everyday challenge, but I haven't been sharing with you my daily creations. Initially, I said that I would post on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For some weeks, it's been more like whenever I get around to posting. I need to do better.
Thus, for the month of July, I am forging ahead and committing to post daily for the rest of the month. Whether it is a simple picture, list of positive quotes, or random messages; I will share DAILY. I promise myself this.
Here's what I did yesterday after I bought myself some fine point Sharpies.
